Elevation and stabilisation

Elevation injections

Three example projects are described in the following:
Elevation and stabilisation of Friedrichswerder Church in Berlin using boring-enabled DMI sleeve pipes: One of Berlin’s largest churches subsided by up to 20 mm during construction work. The historic building almost became derelict as a result.

The task was to elevate and stabilise the church by means of compensating injections. A maximum of 2 mm of subsidence was permitted during drilling in of the sleeve pipes so as not to further compromise the structural stability.

DMI inserted more than 3,000 m of boring-enabled sleeve pipes under the church with a maximum subsidence of 0.4 mm. One side was elevated by 50 mm.

VDE 8.1, elevation of Füllbach railway bridge in its entirety

The injection (elevation) was applied below the foundation piles and the two abutments and the four pillars were elevated by 150 mm as a result. Steel sleeve pipes were drilled in below the pile bases for this. The sleeve pipes were pressurised below the pile bases and the entire bridge thus elevated together with the piles.

Stabilisation and elevation of the historic lock walls of Neubrück Lock using boring-enabled sleeve pipes

The injection (elevation) was applied below the foundation piles and the two abutments and the four pillars were elevated by 150 mm as a result.
